The bible

We believe that the Bible comes from God and is without error (John 10:35). Therefore, it is the authority for everything we do in the church (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Bible is the truth (John 17:17).

The beginning of man and the world

We believe that, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." (Genesis 1:1) This world and man are not here by accident. Rather, God spoke and it came to be (Genesis Chapters 1 and 2).

Jesus Christ

We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God (Matthew 16:16). We believe that He is the Savior of the world (John 4:42). We believe in His virgin birth (Matthew 1:22-23). We believe in His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:1-10) and we believe that He is coming back to take His people to heaven (John 14:1-4).

Holy Spirit

God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him, repent of their sins, and are immersed (baptized) into Jesus (Acts 2:38, 5:32). Through the Holy Spirit, God gives us the power to live godly lives and guidance in following God's will (Romans 8:1-4, 26).

Communion

Communion, otherwise known as The Lord's Supper, is  a time to remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. During this memorial remembrance the bread symbolizes the body of Christ and the juice symbolizes the blood of Christ. When believers take the elements in an act of worship, gathering in His name, Christ's presence is among them and felt (Matthew 18). We celebrate the Lord's Supper every Sunday as did the early church. (Acts 20:7)

Heaven

We believe that heaven is a real place of eternal reward for those Christians who have been faithful servants of Christ to the end (Matthew 25:21). It is God's dwelling place of rest, worship, and reward (Revelation 21:22-27, 22:1-5).

Hell

We believe that hell is a real place of eternal punishment for those who do not know or believe in God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus (2 Thessalonians 1:6-10; Matthew 25:30, 41,46 and Matthew 10:28).

Baptism

Through baptism, (immersion in water), we identify with Jesus' death, burial and resurrection and publicly declare our intention to follow Him. Jesus followers in the New Testament and throughout all generations have participated in this beautiful celebration of the life-changing relationship we can have with Jesus. (Matthew 28:18-20). If you would like to take this important next step, we would love to walk with you and schedule your baptism.
